Description Notes
Brass beam graduated [8] - [38], numbered by 10 (but with 35), divided to 1, marked ‘A’ (air); scale below graduated [9] - [41], numbered by 10 (but with 35 and without 40), divided to 1, marked ‘W’ (water). Verso graduated [36] - [74], numbered by 10, divided to 1, marked ‘B’ and [37] - [79], numbered by 10, divided to 1, marked ‘W’. Dots mark 1/2 on all scales. Brass slide. Two pairs of steel pivot points marked ‘A’ and ‘B’ corresponding to either side of scale.
One end slightly turned up with ring bearing. (Coin plate and support missing). Cardboard slip case covered with embossed leather.
Condition: fair; incomplete (coin plate and support missing).
