Description Notes

Steel beam and fittings; swan’s neck beam-ends; self-locating steel knife edge and ring bearing; index over; gallows with ring bearing and cord. Two circular brass pans with suspension cords.
Fitted wooden box lined with cloth, with slots for 3 circular brass weights with turned handles; 2 extant for 5dwt. 8gr. and 2dwt. 16gr. Each stamped with crown.
Clip fastening for box; paper label inside lid giving table of weights for various coins.

Condition: good/fair (rusty); incomplete (one weight missing).
