Description Notes

Electromagnet with three brass levelling feet; four brass terminals for magnet mounted on ebonite plate, central two connected by insulated wire. Front carries gap for fibre case (missing) and telescope for reading deflection of wire, and tube for admitting light to the fibre case. Mounted above the telescope and light tube are two further tubes with knurled screws for adjusting the telescope (?).

Condition fair; incomplete (fibre case missing).
