Description Notes
Steel beam and fittings; double-‘O’ beam ends; self-locating steel knife edge and ring bearings, with index above; gallows with ring bearing and suspension ring (tassel missing). Two circular brass pans with suspension cords.
Fitted wooden box with slots for 13 weights all stamped with denomination (2 missing). Slot for fractional weights (lid and weights missing). All weights stamped verso with star (?most stuck in their slots; 25-1-2000).
Paper label in lid with value of European gold coins including the sovereign.
Plain box; hook fastenings.
Condition: fair; incomplete (weights missing).
