Description Notes
Steel beam and fittings; swan’s neck beam ends; self-locating knife edge and ring bearing; index over with aperture in base; gallows with ring bearing and brass loop to tassel. (Bottom part of gallows missing??; 26-1-2000). Two circular silvered brass pans with suspension cords. Fitted wooden box; slot with sliding lid for carat weights; only 2 remain, stamped 32 and 16. Hand coloured label on box lid; box with carved crest on lid and hook fastenings.
Condition: fair; incomplete.
