Description Notes
Steel beam and fittings; self-locating steel knife edge and ring bearing. Brass pointer index with pierced base. Steel gallows with ring bearing above pierced decoration. Swan’s neck beam ends. Ring bearing to cords and brass circular pans.
Fitted wooden box with slots for 18 lozenge-shaped weights (2 missing) each with small turned handle and stamped with denomination and spreadeagle. Denomination painted in red over the slot. Hinged brass lid over slot for 4 fractional weights. Paper label in lid of box. Hook fastening with decorative concentric circles.
Condition: good; incomplete (two weights missing).
