Description Notes

Oval brass case with hinged, cloth lined lid. Dial plate with hour scale divided IIII - XII, I - VIII, numbered by I, divided to 30 minutes, and 4 - 12, 1 - 8, numbered by 1, divided to 30 minutes. Inset compass with 4 cardinal points marked; variation shown at 20˚ E. Folding arm to support gnomon marked 40, 45, 50 for three different latitudes.

Condition: fair; incomplete (gnomon missing).
