Description Notes

Three brass telescopic tubes, the largest with a leather covering on part of it. Telescope eyepiece is fitted with two pieces of shaped brass (?) moved using the drum around the eyepiece. The drum has a silvered scale marked from 0 to 2000 (4000; 27-1-2000) yards. This allows the distance of the object(s) to be measured. Brass cap for the objective. Eyepiece end is punched with two maker’s marks and the number ‘218’.

Condition: fine; complete.
