Description Notes

2 Gilt metal plumb levels:

1. Plummet suspended from aperture in returning vertical support, through horizontal ring, screwed to base plate with engraved dot marking level position. Engraved decoration on base. Vertical suport extended and screw thread cut into it.

2. Semi-circle divided 90˚ - 0 - 90˚ subdivided to 1˚ and 12 - E - 12 subdivided to 1/8. Plummet suspended down flat face through ring screwed to semi-circle. Indicator arm from centre of the semi-circle gives inclination on scales; hook on end of arm. Horizontal plate at base of semi-circle extended to form a wide ring. Vertical extended with screw-thread cut into it. Leather covered wooden box.
