Description Notes
Steel beam and fittings; swan’s neck bearings; self-locating knife edge and ring bearing; fixed index with pearl-like bead at top; gallows with ring bearing and brass hook (no tassel). Two circular brass pans on suspension cords (two broken; 11-2-2000).
Fitted oak box with slots for nine weights, all extant (slots for weights are partially filled with paper; 11-2-2000); slot for fractional weights with sliding lid, containing 7 weights. All weights except one stamped with maker’s mark (see catalogue card for depiction).
Plain box with single hook fastening.
Condition: fair; complete.
