Description Notes

Pair of balances. Two steel beams; both with swan’s neck beam ends (smaller with hooks, larger without; 11-2-2000); self-locating knife edge and ring bearing; index over; smaller beam has index with screw thread and adjustable brass weight. Gallows with ring bearing on both. One with hook and tassel, smaller one just with hook. Two circular brass pans with suspension cords (one broken). Box with partition for weights (none extant) lined with pink velvet. Single hook fastening.

Incomplete (no weights).
