Description Notes

Brass base plate with 2 bubble levels; set on 3 levelling screws (two levelling screws and one screw-in foot; 2-2-2000). Raised compass with silvered 4-point rose and 8 letter points; degree scale divided 0 - 90˚ - 0 - 90˚ - 0, by 10˚ to 1˚. Needle arrest mechanism operated from edge of compass box. Cross-shaped dial arm with hinge divided 0 - 90˚, numbered by 10˚, divided to 5˚; folding gnomons on each limb; hour scale divided III - XII, I - IX, numbered by I, divided to 10 minutes.
Mahogany case with brass hinges and hook fasteners. Printed table of the equation of time pasted into the lid. Velvet in lid.

Condition: good; complete.
