Description Notes
Thin steel bar moving on 3 brass wheels carries brass and ivorine pencil holder. Brass pillar pivotted at each end of the steel bar. One pillar carries a movable viewing aperture with a five stop adjustable diaphragm. The other carries a small window which can be moved up and down the pillar. A string runs from a counterweight inside this pillar, over a pulley at the top, past the window, round a pulley at the base and along to the pencil holder.
