Description Notes

Early example of an English telescopic level, in oak box. Bubble is to the side of the telescope and can be viewed through a side aperture in its brass mount, as well as from above. Telescope can be adjusted to level by a large knurled screw, which moves its supporting platform about a hinge. Object glass’ aperture is almost halved by the lens cover. Fitted box.
