Description Notes
Ebony beam with inlaid ivory scale, divided [0] - 5 feet 2 inches, numbered by 1 inch, subdivided to 0.1 inches. Two electrum sockets for pins, one fixed at one end of the beam, with inch scale divided to 0.1; the other movable, with a line to mark the length measured. Clamping screws for both sockets and for holding the pins in place.
Two steel pins (no inkbows or pencil present).
Wooden box with brass hinges.
Condition good (box fair); incomplete (inkbows missing).
