pantograph, by Stanley, English, 1880 (c)

Four brass rules in pairs. Smaller rules joined to longer in centre. 4 castors. Socket on end of one long arm for tracing point or pencil. Screw thread on top (for cup to hold coi, weights missing). Knurled screw attaches arm with adjustable clamp. The other long rule and one short rule have sliding heads with screw clamps and socket for pencil. Both arms graduated 1-2 to 1-12. Fitted wooden box. Heavy triangular base.
