Description Notes

Rectangular wooden box with brass carrying handles. Ebonite and metal grid top. Metal grids cover ventilation holes on 2 sides and bottom. 2 ebonite handled brass plugs fit 5 holes in the top of the instrument for adjusting the resistance value. [If identical to 4325 then: inside has 2 rows of 5 ebonite rods fastened to underside of top plates supporting a 7-inch wide ribbon of constantan wire, silk-covered and woven with silk thread. Terminals connect at end and intermediate points of resistive ribbon, hence providing 2 resistances].
