Description Notes
Botanical wallchart. Phascum: plant. Maker J.S. Henslow.
Hand painted and coloured botanical teaching diagram showing the root section and lower leaves with the upper section of the plant continued alongside the lower section.
There is a handwritten inscription along the bottom which appears to be the makers signature, however the word ‘Phascum’ has been painted over the top, obscuring the writing from direct translation.
The diagram is painted onto heavy paper which has been cloth backed for support.
Framed.
