Description Notes
Botanical wallchart showing capsule (spore bearing structure) of the moss genus Buxbaumia (subclass: Bryidae).
Single diagram in colour.
Inscription is stencilled at bottom right, largely obscuring an earlier ink inscription in Henslow’s handwriting which partly reads “Hook... Fl... ...din...”. (Probably a reference to William Curtis’ ‘Flora Londinensis’; the five volume, 1828 edition included two vols, 4 & 5, that were revised by Sir William Jackson Hooker.)
No other labels.
Reference numbers at bottom left and right corners. (Previous PS ref. was O53)
