Description Notes

Mahogany box with brass hinges and hook fastener. Screwed to the base inside is a circular brass disc on which is mounted a short brass column. Clamp attached to column and fixed by a knurled brass screw. This clamp carries a black-painted white metal strip which is attached to a short black-painted white metal cylinder; the distance of the strip from the clamp can be adjusted by a knurled brass screw. The white metal cylinder has a horizontal brass pin set through it.

Condition good; incomplete.
