First entitled ‘On the history, principles and practical use of the electric telegraph’, the second ‘On the history, principles and construction of the Conway and Britannia tubular iron bridges’. Lectures given by Edmund Wheeler, esq. C.E., lecturer to the Literary and Scientific Institutions of the Metropolis, the Yorkshire Union of Mechanics’ Institutes and the principal Institutions of the South and West of England.
