Description Notes
Green block of uranium glass with an imperial scale on it. It is contained in a lined wooden box. The accompanying note indicates that it was owned first by Stokes.George Gabriel (1819-1903), Lucasian professor at Cambridge from 1849, then by his father-in-law Robinson.Thomas Rowley (1792-1882), the astronomer in charge of Armagh Observatory from 1823, then by Stokes again.
Condition: fair (slight chipping of edges; lid of box detached); complete.
