Description Notes

Black-painted cast iron tripod base supports brass column on which brass mount for polarimeter tube is set. Black-painted tube with hinged cover for specimen tube. Screw-fit objective with orange filter. Degree scale at eye end turned by ratchet operated by knurled brass screw; scale divided 0 - 90˚ - 0 - 90˚ - 0, numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 30´, with twin verniers reading to 1´. Twin reading microscopes. Pushfit eyepiece. Angle of incident light can be adjusted by a brass lever which moves over a scale divided 10˚ - 0 - 10˚, subdivided to 1˚.
