Description Notes
Brass. Silvered 8 point rose. Steel needle. Graduated 0-90-0 twice by 10 and 0-360˚ to 1˚. Vernier scale reads to 3’ clamp and motion screw for vernier plate and sights below compass box. Locking bar for needle. Socket and clamp for attachment to tripod. Slit and window/pinhole sights; hinge forward when not in use.
Bubble below compass box and on limb of sights. Brass lid for compass box with scales of elevation and depression graduated 50-0-50 and 40-0-40 to 1 ‘links’.
Fitted mahogany box.
