Description Notes
Register dial, white enamel face divided 0-100 by 10 to 5 ‘NAUTICAL MILES’ and a subsidiary dial 0-10 to 1 to 1/4 ‘MILES’. Hinged brass glazed cover with knurled screw; cast brass base; black painted with shaft to rotating, red, painted base. Pivotted brace to arm for attachment by fish plates to side of ship. 2 fish plates marked ‘STARBOARD AFT’ and ‘PORT AFT’; steel harpoon; leaded sinker; 100 feet of line; brass hook; tin of oil. All unused. Fitted wooden box with instructions for use in lid.
