Description Notes
Plastic circle with outer degree scale divided 0 - 360˚, numbered by 1˚; 128 minor divisions marked with cardinal points and fleur-de-lys for North. Brass rule pivots about central brass mount with levelled pointer on one side, the other an extended arm, with screw clamp, divided 1.5 - 35 cm, subdivided to 1mm and 0 - 18, subdivided to 0 - 25, latter scale marked ‘Sm’.
Velvet-lined fitted wooden box.
‘M’ surmounted by crown on both instrument and box
Condition
Celluloid disc unscrewed from brass arm and oxide removed (27/10/2003)
