Description Notes

Right angle triangle; hypotenuse three times length of base. Side of right angles to base bevelled. Index mark in centre of hypotenuse.
Two scales; divided on both sides with 2 scales on each edge: inner (natural) scale and outer (artificial) scale. Thus eight pairs of scales giving 25, 30, 35, 40, 50 and 60 divisions per inch. Number of divisions engraved below scale. Natural scale divided by 10 with single division at one end to 1; even numbers only engraved. Artificial scale divided by 10 to 1 from central zero, at 3 times natural scale.
Fitted wooden box with sliding lid.
