Description Notes

Prismatic magnetic compass, by Negretti & Zambra, English, c. 1916.

Metal alloy; black finish. Hinged lid wither aperture. Liquid filled card compass graduated 0 - 360˚, divided to 1˚, with fleur-de-lys for North. Outer ring graduated 0 - 360˚, divided to 5˚. Hinged magnifying glass, with slit sight over. Brass band round side graduated 0 - 360˚, divided to 5˚, and with 16 cardinal points, subdivided to 4. Brass shackle.
