Description Notes
Brass cylinder in two parts, divided by silvered scale. Single set of slit and window sights in lower section. Scale divided 0 - 360 in single degrees. Read by vernier on upper cylinder to 4’ of arc with 2 sets of slit and window sights set mutually at right angles. 2 bubble levels set mutually at right angles on top of upper cylinder. Aperture in top for compass (? missing).
