Description Notes

Norrenberg polariscope by Elliott Bros, 4/4 19th C.

Rectangular wooden base with two wooden standards. Pivoted between the two standards is a clear glass plate. A wooden ring is mounted on top of the standards and within this a second ring can rotate; second ring divided 0 - 9 - 0 - 9 - 0, numbered by 1 (presumably degrees, divided by 10). A second pair of standards are mounted on this ring and carry a dark glass pivoting between them.

Condition fair; incomplete.
