Description Notes

Electromagnet, by W. G. Pye & Co, English, 1/2 20th C.

Rectangular wooden base carrying white metal plate on which are set two electromagnet coils. Each coil has pair of brass terminals and the specifications for each coil are given below the terminals (left hand with 702 turns and Resistance of 0.868; right hand with 707 turns and Resistance of 0.881). Brass standard set between the two coils carries horizontal bar with counterweight on one side and bar on the other which makes contact with the top of the cores of the electromagnets.

Condition good; complete.
