Description Notes
‘Hilger Wavelength Spectrometer. Constant Deviation Type’ D.2. Slit with steel jaws, width adjustable by screw, drumhead divided 1-10, on draw tube. Brass collimator with second draw tube and lens on extended arm for focussing incident light. Prism on part-oxidised brass platform, held by arm with clamping screw, removable painted metal cover with two aperture holes. Brass telescope, focussed by knurled ring, sliding eyepiece. Stage rotated by screw with steel drum marked with wavelength of light being observed. Painted cast iron support with pillar and tripod stand.
