Description Notes
Hilger’s quartz spectrograph. Adjustable slit with steel jaws, moved by knurled screw with drumhead divided 0-10. Sliding brass stop for adjusting height of slit. Brass collimator with one drawer. Central wooden box. Brass telescope tube with wooden camera. Adjustment for photographic plate with bellows and clamp; vertical motion by 2 linked pinions and knurled screws with 10mm vertical ivorine scale, but actual housing for photographic plate is missing. Brass support beneath prism, on cast pillar and tripod stand, painted.
