Description Notes
Small transit instrument in oxidised brass. Flat-based stand with double A-frame support for axis. Axis secured in Y bearings by pivoted bars and clamping screws. Telescope with object glass cover, focus by knurled screw moving object glass, cross hairs, diagonal eyepiece, conventional eyepiece also. Vertical circe with silvered scale divided 0 - 90˚ - 0 - 90˚ - 0, numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 30´, with 2 silvered verniers marked ‘A’ and ‘B’ reading to 30´´; clamp and tangent screws, zero adjustment by knurled screw. Bubble level on telescope.
Fitted wooden box with reading microscopes, spare lens and spare lens holder.
Condition good; complete.
