Description Notes

Oak table stand with stretcher rails. Shaped oak frame bolted to the table, surmounted by brass urn and supporting steel axle, crank and turning handle; glass disk clamped to axle by leather and brass washers. Frame carrying two pairs of removable oval-shaped leather friction pads, stuffed with horse hair, having wooden bases marked I, II, III, and IIII to correspond with the slotted mounts. Two glass columns with brass fittings supporting brass primary conductor, linked by two curved arms to U-shaped collector combs.
