Description Notes
Wooden plank supported on three legs (one at one end, two at the other). Carries iron bar down the centre of the plank. Hinged to this iron bar is a lever which moves a piston back and forth along the bar, for compressing platinum sample.
Condition poor; incomplete (cylindrical container for platinum missing - since pre 1930).
