Description Notes

Metal base housing lamp, diffuser, tables and instructions (on silk roll moved by knob and viewed through glazed aperture), electric lead and plug (later addition). From base rises stand with mounts for specimen and standard (heights adjustable by knurled knobs); prismatic image combining arrangement; and screw-fit eyepiece. Scales viewed through aperture on top of stand. Black finish. Fitted wooden box with 2 drawers, one containing 11 standard plates in leather wallets.
