Description Notes

Collimator (slit missing), with two draw tubes - one sliding adjustment, the other by rack and pinion, both with longitudinal scales. Central circular stage, silvered scale on rim divided 0-360 by 1˚, subdivided to 15’. Three verniers, two for prism platform, rotated by knurled screw, one for telescope, moved by tangent screw, with clamp. Two-stage prism platform, upper stage detachable, with three levelling screws. Telescope with camera, focus by knurled screw beneath. Inclination of plate adjustable by knurled screw, with scale divided 70-0-67 by 1˚. Eyepiece mount. All mounted on cast iron base with three levelling screws and separate brass feet. Prism stand, arm, clamp and composite prism (quartz). Second quartz prism.
