Description Notes
Hand painted botanical teaching diagram in shades of green and brown. Depicting a moss species (Weissia) and different structural aspects of the seed pod. The different layers are labelled as follows:

d. Lid ___ e. Peristome ___ f. Tooth
g. Columella ___ h. Apophysis
The labels were originally on a separate piece of paper but have since been attached to the bottom and the whole diagram reinforced by attachment to a cloth backing.
