Rosa canina. Maker G. Henslow

Colour printed botanical teaching diagram of Rosa canina, the dog rose. The wall chart consists of 7 separate diagrams annotated a - g. Figure a, the central diagram, shows the whole dog rose plant whilst b shows a close up of a flowering branch. Figure c shows a rose bud prior to full bloom and d shows a cross section through a flower which has finished blooming and the petals have fallen off. Figure e shows the stigma in isolation and f a cross section through this. The final figure shows the developing seed pod.

The paper has ripped in several places along the edge.

Good/fair condition.
