Description Notes

19th century blowpipe apparatus by J.T. Letcher of Truro, Cornwall, England. Wooden box with green label inside lid. On the label are the contents of the box, makers details, dates and the cost, a guinea. It also has the claim that the apparatus was “Commissioned by [the] Society of Arts”
Apparatus for chemical and mineralogical analysis. Contains 42 items, including: blowpipe; spirit lamp; hammer; anvil; tweezers; scissors; file; chisel; magnet; spatula; blue glass; and various chemicals.
