Description Notes
Mahogany tray with slots for items of magnetic equipment: two steel bar magnets with keepers; brass cased double bar magnet with end caps, suspension ring and shaped keeper; turned mahogany box for iron filings and gauze shaker formed on brass ring; magnetic compass in turned mahogany box with steel needle and printed card; magnetometer (signed) comprising silvered vertical rectangular plate with pivoted needle moving over quadrant divided 0-90 to 2 degrees; dip needle with brass stand and silvered quadrant divided 0-90 to 1; glass handle with brass ferrule; steel ball-bearings, various magnets, needles and turned brass stands.
