Description Notes
Rectangular mahogany base with four feet. Two mahogany standards support wooden bearings and wooden cup mounts for glass cylinder; wooden crank handle not extant. Slots beneath base for two sliding wooden mounts with clamping screws; one carrying brass and glass support for leather friction pad and a black silk cloth, the other carrying glass support for a cylindrical metal primary conductor and collecting comb.
Condition fair; complete.
