Description Notes
Cast iron tripod base with brass column supporting brass and black-painted brass polarimeter on alt-azimuth mount, locked by knurled screw. Top half of casing for specimen tube is missing. Brass specimen tube with two sprung push-fit ends. Screw-fit eyepiece. Analyser has serrated edge degree scale divided [45] - 0 - 90˚, numbered by 10˚ graduated to 30´. Second scale divided 200 - 0 - 400, numbered by 20, graduated to 1. Vernier with section for each scale moves over the main scale and has a reading glass.
