Description Notes

botanical teaching model of the white willow plant (Salix) made of wood and papier mâche by Hagenbeek Wageningen (or Brendel of Berlin) from the 19th century.

Wooden base painted black. In the centre of the base is a blue label with Latin classifications, English, German, French and Italian translations. Below the blue label is a paper label with a blue border inside of which is black handwritten type “365”. The base is turned with two turned wooden columns to support the plant. The support rods in painted wood lead up to the plant, halfway up these rods is a paper label with the number “45” in black handwritten ink.
