Description Notes

Unlabelled botanical teaching model of an iris flower, in wood and plaster, probably late 19th century.

A turned wooden base has bolted to its middle a hollow metal rod which develops into one side of the base and petals of an iris flower, the petals are formed of metal sheets, painted purple with cloth glued down the middle of the lower petals. The developing seeds are visible lower down moulded out of plaster within a metal support. Complete.
