Description Notes
botanical teaching diagram, German by Schlitzberger 20th Century. The diagram is on canvas, full colour print of two plant types including vertical transverse view of flower and fruit as well as pictorial representation of the root. The canvas diagram is held between two wooden battens. The top being a half cylinder batten with a material screw hook attachment by which to hang and display the diagram. The lower batten is a complete cylinder adding weight and holding the diagram in an open position. Storage is by rolling the diagram from bottom upwards and closure through a press stud. On the upper batten near the hook is indented “D.R.G.M”. There is a paper label to the left of this. The black type written text is faded but readable as “Schlitzberger, Giftpflazen” and there is a bird like logo with the word “Begründet” “1789” which is the makers label.
