Description Notes

Paper bound book, each page containing 14 labels, each label contains the natural order of the plant, the Linnean Class and order, the general, specific and common name of the plant and the synonyms of the botanists Smith, Hooker, Lindley, and Macreight with space left for collector’s name and date. English index, 327 pages, paper binding (reusing printed paper).

A printed label ‘PRICE REDUCED TO THREE SHILLINGS.....MDCCCXLVIII’ has been stuck on the title page over the previous sellers names and date MDCCCXLI.

pp 109-111 are incompletely cut, one label has been removed from pp 1, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 33, 65, 73, 219. two from pp 7, 25, 27, 317, and 3 from p3.
