Turned ivory pestle and mortar, mortar has a much greater height to width ratio than others in the collection. The mortar is turned from one piece of ivory, the pestle handle was made separately and glued to the body. Diagonal score marks on the pestle of a much lower workmanship than the turning. One chip on mortar lip.

Possibly for pharmaceutical use?
