Schimper’s Vegetation Map of the World. Grid, with numbers down the right hand side. Map is coloured. Fifteen different shadings representing types of vegetation. There is a key at the bottom of the map. Types of vegetation represented are: Tropical rain forest A and B, Tropical Xerophilous woodland, Northern Coniferous forest, Temperate rain forest (evergreen), Sclerophyllous forest and scrub, Tropophilous summer (& Coniferous) forest, Steppe & Prairie, Savannah, “Park landscape”, Dry Steppe (transition to Desert), Desert, Tundra and Semi-desert.
